As Berg commented in an interview with Field Service News at the time, ServiceMax had just inherited the world’s largest internal user base of field service engineers. That chapter of the story ended with the acquisition by GE Digital for close to a billion dollars – a staggering amount that stole headlines far beyond the niche of the field service sector.ĭuring the ‘GE-era’, Scott Berg took on the CEO role as Yarnold departed, and the organization had a more muted, focused, and business-like tone.
